CEDAS Recognizes Workforce Development Initiatives
CEDAS recognized workforce development initiatives with the first-ever Team Connecticut Workforce Development Awards. Recipents included:
- Middlesex Community College (MxCC) for its Connecticut Film Industry Training Program
- The Marine Drafting Apprenticeship Support Program at Three Rivers Community College
- 'Wired for Work' through the Eastern Connecticut Workforce Investment Board
- 'More Than Just a Job' through the Town of Hamden and the Hamden Chamber of Commerce
"This was our first year and we had 18 very interesting nominations and our Executive Committee determined four outstanding projects with several partners that represent the 'Best Practicesą of workforce development in Connecticut," said CEDAS board member and program coordinator, Trenton Wright.
